Dear Parents and Students,
Today we held a special prayer for the beginning of the new academic year, and so as of Sunday, September 17th we also begin the new academic year of catechism and religious instruction at our Parish.
As before, classes will be held every Sunday after the Divine Liturgy and lunch on the premises of our Parish. All children of elementary and middle school age (grades 1-8) are welcome, regardless of their level of fluency in Serbian – conversations are conducted flexibly in Serbian and/or English as needed.
In discussion with the children today, we have decided on the following curriculum for 2023-24:
- September to November: we will cover the Divine Liturgy
- November to the end of January: rehearsing a play for St. Sava’s day
- February to the end of June: Old Testament stories
